Q: "A Hero Adrift" promises to be an exhilarating superhero journey. Can you tell us what inspired you to create this compelling story?
Louis Mihael: Totally! "A Hero Adrift" came from this idea of digging into the emotions of a superhero who's still figuring things out. You know, those moments of doubt, bouncing back, and personal growth that really shape a character. And on top of that, we wanted to pay homage to the legendary Chadwick Boseman, who played Black Panther and left such a huge impact. He was an incredible actor and an amazing person, and we wanted to honor his legacy in our own way.
Q: What was it like working with Kenneth Noriaki again on "A Hero Adrift”?
Louis Mihael: Working with Kenneth Noriaki has always been an incredible experience. Kenneth's artistic talent and ability to visually capture the essence of the characters and the story has elevated my writings to new heights. With the Print edition, readers will see more of his artistic genius with the added illustrations and even more so with the comic adaptation.
Q: "Castle Lugbúrz" and "KIRA: A Star Wars Story" are both exciting stories. How does "A Hero Adrift" differ from your previous works, and what can readers expect from this new superhero venture?
Louis Mihael: So, you know how "Castle Lugbúrz" and "KIRA: A Star Wars Story" are totally into different genres, right? Well, "A Hero Adrift" takes on the superhero scene but with a slight twist. It's all about Aaron Boseman dealing with rejection and the heavy burden of responsibility. Readers can expect a fast-paced narrative infused with intense action sequences, emotional depth, and thought-provoking themes. "A Hero Adrift" challenges the notion of heroism and invites readers to reflect on what it truly means to be a hero.
Q: The announcement of a comic adaptation of "A Hero Adrift" has generated a lot of excitement. Can you share any details about the comic and what fans can anticipate?
Louis Mihael: The comic adaptation of "A Hero Adrift" will provide a visual feast for fans of the story. We're incredibly excited to bring Aaron Boseman's journey to life through Kenneth’s dynamic panels and vibrant illustrations. Readers can anticipate an immersive experience where the intensity of the action and the emotional depth of the characters will be heightened. It will be an opportunity to witness the story unfold in a visually stunning medium that complements the narrative.
Q: What does the future hold for "A Hero Adrift"? Are there going to be more stories/projects and are there any other projects you're working on outside of “A Hero Adrift”?
Louis Mihael: Oh, for sure! "A Hero Adrift" has a super bright future ahead! Though it depends on how well the comic adaption goes. We’re definitely wanting to explore more stories and projects in this epic superhero universe. I already have an idea for a sequel. And hey, apart from "A Hero Adrift," we've got a few other exciting projects in the works too. These are just working titles but they are, “JOSHUA: The Werewolf Hunter”, “DOCTOR PLAGUE”, and “Frozen Descent”. I also have some ideas that would be prequels to Zack Snyder/Ben Affleck’s Batman.
