Taking place in person once more since 2019, San Diego Comic-Con 2022 included a ton of brand-new announcements, trailers, and teasers for series including Marvel, DC Comics, The Lord of the Rings: The Rings of Power, Game of Thrones House of the Dragon, and more.
Here is a selection of some of the biggest and greatest announcements, revealed over the weekend.
John Wick 4
The fourth film featuring Keanu Reeves' assassin provided us a glimpse at his ruthless training regimen and villains portrayed by Donnie Yen and Bill Skarsgard. The movie opens on March 24, 2023.
Dungeons & Dragons: Honor Among Thieves
Chris Pine is a plan-making, lute-playing bard, Michelle Rodriguez is a barbarian, Regé-Jean Page from Bridgerton and The Gray Man is a warrior, Justice Smith is a mage, and Sophia Lillis is a shape-shifting druid. They carry off a heist in a fantasy adventure that appears to be a lot of fun, loaded with Hugh Grant and standard D&D characters like dragons, displacer animals, a mimic, an Owlbear, Led Zeppelin, and more.
Teen Wolf: The Movie
A new teaser for a movie that reunites the stars of the 2011 TV program, starring Tyler Posey, Crystal Reed, and Tyler Hoechlin, was unveiled by streaming provider Paramount Plus. They previously starred in six seasons of lycanthropic adventures that were partly based on the Michael J. Fox movie from the 1980s, and they are now including shadow ninjas and more supernatural action.
Marvel
We received a ton of announcements, trailers, and release dates from Marvel's jam-packed San Diego Comic-Con panel, as well as the astonishing news that we will continue to see new Marvel content at least through 2025. The disclosure of two new Avengers films, Avengers: The Kang Dynasty and Avengers: Secret Wars, was possibly the most significant of these revelations. The Russo brothers have indicated an interest in helming the next Secret Wars movie, but Kevin Feige informed Deadline that they are "not linked" to the project at the moment. Along with that disclosure, the Black Panther: Wakanda Forever teaser was also released, along with other release dates and title hints. You may see what else Feige had planned in the list below.

The Sandman
A new teaser was released by the streaming service to build anticipation for the August 5 release of the acclaimed fantasy comic series by Neil Gaiman that will be adapted for Netflix.
Black Adam
On October 21, Black Adam, a DC antihero movie, will hit theaters. A recent preview gave some insight into the moral decisions that Dwayne "The Rock" Johnson's character will have to make.
Shazam: Fury of the Gods
On December 21, Shazam: Fury of the Gods, the sequel to the 2019 superhero film Shazam, will debut in theaters. During the Warner Bros. panel, it received a brand-new trailer that showed Helen Mirren and Lucy Liu as two extremely terrifying villains.
